Challenge
- To guarantee the transfer of loads in expansion joints, in which one of the two supporting elements of the slabs are eliminated.
Solution
The choice of connectors was due to two fundamental aspects. On the one hand, the guarantee and reliability of the work by a technical department performing the calculations, instead of this being done by simple software, and on the other hand, the use of connectors guaranteed by the CE marking.
This tipped the balance in favour of using the Geoconnect® structural connectors.
